Disley Private School ended the year with a bang as it celebrated its’ very first annual day, June 12, 2018.
We were lucky to host a number of influential members in the education community including Ms. Fatima Abdullabbas Norani, the General Director of Private Schools in the Sultanate of Oman.
The program started off with a heartfelt welcome by Ms. Halima Al Farsi, our Principal. She has been instrumental in building a solid foundation for the school and served both a mentor and a leader to everyone associated with the school.
The girls in their elegant dresses entertained the audience with a song and dance number to welcome everyone. Our youngest members at Disley were lead to the stage by a senior student and recited an Omani poem. It was a truly superb moment and set the tone for more amazing presentations to come. Kindergarten students took to the stage with confidence and pride as they performed a graduation song in English and then an Arabic song celebrating Oman, our beloved country.
There was a short break before the students were presented with their certificates and gifts. The hall and the stage were perfectly decked in Disley’s colours. Every table was laid with beautiful flowers and delicious treats for parents and students.
The highlight of the night’s affair was the awarding of certificates and gifts. Students marched up the stage one by one, greeted by Ms. Fatima Abdulla Abbas Norani, Ms Halima Al Farsi and Mr. Abdullah Ali Abbas Al Ajmi, chairman of Disley Private School. Joy lit up their faces as they left the stage clutching their gift.
Our students, teachers, assistant teaching staff as well as the administrative staff at DPS worked tirelessly to put forth a flawless presentation to celebrate all achievements. The parents honoured the event with their attendance and teachers as well as staff had the chance to show their gratitude for the unwavering support the entire first year.
The first Annual Day proved to be an amazing and memorable event and surely set a high standard that we, without a doubt, will continue to live up to.
Our heartfelt shout-out and gratitude to everyone involved in making our Annual day an unforgettable one.
